Tim Minear wrote and directed this one, and it's the episode that sets the trap for the Season 3 finale. Cordelia comes back from the higher plane, Angel and Connor get a moment of peace, and Holtz makes his final move, one designed to turn Connor against his father for good. If you know how Season 3 ends, you know how much this episode sets up.
